Silly Food Fun Time!

I've been exploring more and trying to learn about other cultures, I got inspired and made a fun set of accessories inspired by Tokyo food culture. Miruku is a set of earrings I made first, inspired by the colourful branding of milk. The Norimaki earrings were fun to make, little sushi rolls dangling off your ears, and they lead to the Sushi Platter pieces, something to brighten your wardrobe. They are all in store now, at all 3 locations, Norcott, LAME, and Fashion Mode Too.

New Store @ LAME

Yes, I was very excited (re:stalking Ana) to grab a store at LAME Designs Mall! It's a fantastic location filled with so many talented designers, I'm honoured to be there. I've moved in my featured stock, and the shop is now open so come and check it out along with stores from Savvy?, Veschi, Royal Blue, Queen Couture, Darkstar Designs, Woo's, ANA-Mations, Sh*t Happens, and still heaps more. I'm working on some more upcoming releases so if you're keeping an eye out you won't have to wait too long.

Have a great weekend <3

Party Pics

I took a few pictures but I am no good at quick shots, so these two were all that were post-able.

2nd Location

I've also opened up a small shop at Fashion Mode Too, a trendy paris-style boutique area where you can find other great and upcoming designers such as Refuge, Immortelle, Pushbutton Industries, and many more. This shop will feature a selection of items, but all my stock can be found at Norcott Center. If you'd like to jump straight to the store, the slurl is on my menu on the left. I'd also like to mention that Norcott has room for talented designers at cheap rates, pop over and see for yourself, or feel free to IM me in-world for the owner's contact details. It's a great location, with a European canal main street and also features a Queen Couture shop.

Oh, and on an unrelated note, check out the fashion feed for details of the mass waterfight comp, the winning team receives a million lindens! I'm in, and there are some nameless fashion designers and followers involved, so you never know who you may be waterbombing! It's a bit of fun, so get to Sheep Island if you wanna have a go.

Enough from me, it's the weekend here in Oz, have a great one!

Now Open!

A big thankyou to everyone who popped over to celebrate the opening, it was loads of fun and was wonderful to have great support. I especially want to thank Kona, the owner of Norcotts, who lives to see us designers thrive, and Marni, my pimp/publicist. I'll put up any post-able pics I have but right now I'm pooped from a loong day of SL and RL and it's bedtime!

Oh and I have a store at Fashion Mode Too, it's being filled over the next day so will be completely stocked by Saturday. Oh, and here are some of the things brought out with the opening:

Open Invitation

With the last stages of my main store almost complete, I thought I'd post this up...

Please feel free to drop by, and check it out, although if you try and sneak a peek none of the vendors will be up until that afternoon. Ingo Rosenberg is DJ'ing for me, and I'd like to start a novelty avatar war, so yeah, show up and we can party :D

Subscription Vendor

Whilst I'm setting up I'm also going to be putting up Subscription kiosks. Basically, I see this as the next step from groups, in that once subscribed to a designer's kiosk you get all the benefits of group membership(product notices, gifts, updates, etc) but you don't have to use one of your 25 group slots and you don't have to deal with IM chat spam that larger groups sometimes face.

It'll be interesting to see what pops up with this new system, but I noticed ETD is already set up with it, and as far as I can tell it's a fantastic concept. My main store at Norcott is carrying it now, and while the shop isn't open, the subscription kiosk is up and running, and I've put out my gift box for any curious people.

Opening Soon

I hope to have opened the store this week coming, the layout's being finalised, and I'm finally happy with the stock ready to go. I was up to my eyeballs in prims learning how to make the jewlery and accessories I like, and it's going to be ongoing. The picture below is my first set, African Princess.

I have set out working with completely handdrawn textures, both as an attempt to learn more photoshop skills, and because it seems more 'authentic' in SL, if that makes sense. Anyway, I was going for a bronze texture, and I ended up with the necklace. The earrings were more an experiment with tribal-style patterns that went well, but I want to expand on this style a lot more.

I've put this up as a kind of preview, there are some shots on flickr, and if you have any suggestions or requests, feel free to contact me.

Eyva :)
